Earlier today, video surfaced of Lil Wayne coming for Young Thug during his show last night in Mississippi. Early footage showed Wayne telling the crowd, “Before I go any further, I want y’all to do me a favor and stop listening to songs of n—as that pose naked on they motherf*cking album cover,” but AllHipHop has now released an extended video with a little more detail.

In AHH’s clip, Tune tells the crowd:

I want y’all to understand there’s only one motherf*cking Carter, ya dig? Also before I go any further, I want y’all do to me a favor. If y’all ever have Rich Gang or whoever it is in this motherf*cker, let them know I said, ‘F*ck ’em!’

After getting wind of Tune’s diss, Carter 6 rapper Young Thug took to his Instagram to respond in a quick video.

I understand that Lil Wayne is frustrated about his career and I feel him on that, but this is my idol. I won’t ever in my life swap words with him or beef with him about nothing. This is a person I look up to. Ha ha!

This is certainly an interesting turn of events…and there are so many questions here. If you look up to him, why not wait to drop C6 until after he gets C5 out? Why not try to reach out instead of continuing to throw subtle shots his way? (Thugger definitely added the #WeFree hashtag when he first announced Carter 6 was coming last month – a clear shot at Lil Wayne who’s been running with “Free C5” for some time now.) Why did he “like” an Instagram post of someone saying he was Wayne’s replacement?

And the “ha ha” was just so…extra. Are you laughing in Tune’s face? Are you laughing in the face of haters that are trying to make this a OG vs. newbie thing? So. Many. Questions.
