Not many people can snag a feature from the legendary Stevie Wonder, but Uncle Snoop can make it happen. During a studio session, Snoop explained how he was able to get the iconic musician on the track.

“This shit would be dope if we put Stevie Wonder on there, and then Pharrell was like, ‘You think you can get it?’ I’m like, ‘Hell yeah I can get it.’ They got him right on the phone and I was like, ‘Unc, what’s happenin?’ I’m with Pharrell, we in the studio, we got a record for you. He was like, ‘Pharrell?’ I’m like, ‘We got one, nigga, me, you and P. It’s so motherfucking magical right now. Could you just come play the harmonica on it?’ He was like, ‘I’ll be there.'”

Snoop goes on to describe what went down in the session:

“Once he get there, Pharrell sitting at the board, Stevie go in the booth. I’m like, ‘Alright he in there, go in there and produce him.’ “Pharrell looking at me like, ‘I don’t know what to do, what you want me [to do]?’ I’m like, ‘Go in there and produce him, nigga!'”

The Dogg Father’s album Bush drops May 12, but is available for pre-order via iTunes right now!
