A few days after the incident, CNN’s Erin Burnett released a public apology to the members of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority for calling them Crips on-air. According to Burnett, the whole thing was just one big misunderstanding. She claimed that she “noted the reverend said gang members were attending” the town hall meeting in Baltimore at the same time that the camera happened to be on the women. She goes on to say:

“We’re sorry if anyone got the impression we were calling that sorority gang members, that wasn’t our intention.”

Not quite sure if she is believable because in the video you hear her say “you’ve got the gang members right there” while the camera is on a bunch of women dressed in blue. Do you think she’s trying to cover up? Let us now after you watch it below along with the apology:
