Ball Up, a premier sports and lifestyle brand, is bringing an exciting new street-ball battle to viewers once the NBA championships are over. ESPN will be broadcasting the first Million Dollar Summer Challenge that will feature some of the best players from six cities across the nation.

The challenge is set to tip-off in Washington, one of the six cities including L.A., Philadelphia, Chicago, Indianapolis, and New York, where players will hail from and compete for bragging rights in their hometowns. Eight 10-player teams will be chosen and the championship game will be held in L.A. where the grand prize of $500,000 will be awarded to the champion.

Ball Up Ceo Demetrius Spencer explains how this street-ball battle is different from pro ball or college basketball in aspects of style. “It’s more free-wheeling and one-on-one. We have one simple rule-no zone defenses-to free up the middle.”

Playoffs are set to begin on July 10, and the final teams will face-off during the championship game on August 2. Anyone who remembers And 1 street-ball games surely will want to be tuned in.
