After releasing a free album alongside Donnie Trumpet as a part of The Social Experiment, Chance The Rapper is brewing up something else that is free. This man is what we need in rappers – with the public at their finger tips, they have the power to form change.
Chance is curating the musical performances for the first-ever Teens in the Park festival, set to take place on June 24th in Chicago. This will be a free event for the city of Chicago’s residents in the ages between 13 and 24, as well as their parents/guardians.
The free festival is sponsored by the City of Chicago, it will take place in Northerly Island. Performances will include Donnie Trumpet along with up-and-coming artist DLow. Besides the performances there will be activity tents hosted by the likes of The Art Institute and Donda’s House. The tents will include graffiti, breakdancing, jewelry making, and fashion design, according to The Fader.
