44 years ago today, a legend was born. Tupac Amaru Shakur was a rapper, actor, and social activist. Tupac not only made it into the Guinness Book of World Records as the highest-selling rap artist, but also touched millions of lives through his words. His songs are about anything from growing up in the ghetto to his beefs with other rappers such as Biggie. Tupac died at only 25, yet his career was good enough to deem him a legend. Today, we remember Tupac by reading over these memorable inspirational quotes.
“Theres gonna be some stuff you gonna see thats gonna make it hard to smile in the future, but through whatever you see, through all the rain and the pain you gotta keep your sense of humor. You gotta be able to smile through all this bullshit…remember that. ”
“Did you hear about the rose that grew from a crack in the concrete? Proving nature’s laws wrong, it learned to walk without having feet. Funny, it seems to by keeping it’s dreams; it learned to breathe fresh air. Long live the rose that grew from concrete when no one else even cared.”
“I know it seems hard sometimes but remember one thing. Through every dark night, there’s a bright day after that. So no matter how hard it get, stick your chest out, keep ya head up…. and handle it.”
You can spend minutes, hours, days, weeks, or months over-analyzing a situation; trying to put the pieces together, justifying what could’ve, would’ve happened…or you can just leave the pieces on the floor and move the F*** on.
