The former Murder Inc. Records President, Irv “Gotti” Lorenzo, has been in the game for years. Alongside his brother and business partner, Chris “Gotti” Lorenzo, Irv was able to maintain a chart-dominating record label that released some of the hottest songs of the 90’s and early 2000’s. With Ashanti having major hits and Ja Rule performing on stages all throughout the country, Murder Inc. seemed like they were destined to win.

However, personal outside issues, industry backlash and government inducements were all to blame for Murder Inc.’s ultimate downfall. Since the downfall, both brothers have been managed to maintain successful careers through other outlets.

Now, former VP Chris Gotti has taken on an new endeavor- Add Ventures. The digital music distribution platform is expected to help independent artist monetize their music through different outlets such as YouTube, Spotify and Pandora.

“Add Ventures music is different. I’m creating that artist that wants to be on [that] platform. I’m supporting that artist that [they] gonna want in [that] platform. The difference is I said, no one wants to play with the artist that I’m playing with. I’m dealing with the most infant stage artist to the most sophisticated. I’ll show them how to run and operate their own business and actually monetize every stream, not just one stream, not just Tidal.”
