Like many professional athletes, LeBron James went a social media hiatus to focus solely on the finals. It was his 5th consecutive year headed towards the finals, except this time didn’t end in his favor. LeBron watched the NBA Championship slip right through his fingers to The Golden State Warriors- a team that was considered the underdog.

Last night was the first time he turned to social media after the loss. He admits that he’s still in a flunk- as expected- but that he’s very happy to be back home with his family and friends and knows that they still fully support him.

“It hurt to lose. I’ve been in a funk lately, but this… this is what motivates me to do what I do. How can I ever be down when I know my kids and my fans have my back?Being back home and back with my fans is everything that I dreamed of. Thank you for an incredible season. I’m not satisfied… I’m not happy with the way things turned out… I PROMISE to get better. #StriveForGreatness #ILoveTheseKids #GodBlessOurFans”
