Mexicans in recent news are not too happy about the comments that were made in reference to Mexican border regulations and trade deals by 2016 Presidential Candidate Donald Trump. In response to the offensive remarks, the largest Spanish-language broadcaster Univision decided to cancel the airing of Trump’s Miss USA Pageant. The broadcaster released a statement regarding the matter.

“At Univision, we see first-hand the work ethic, love for family, strong religious values and the important role Mexican immigrants and Mexican-Americans have had and will continue to have in building the future of our country, We will not be airing the Miss USA pageant on July 12 or working on any other projects tied to the Trump Organization.”

Trump went to Twitter to voice a response to their statement:

However Univision aren’t the only people offended by Trump’s comments. Award winning raggaeton artist J Balvin announced to Miami based, Spanish-language radio host Enrique Santos that he will not be performing at this year’s pageant and then to NBC NEWS that, “he can no longer in good conscience agree to take part in an event that is overseen by, and creates a profit for Donald Trump, while Mr. Trump attacks the hard-working Latino immigrant community with hateful political rhetoric.Looks like Trump has a problem. With so many Americans being of Hispanic descent how does he expect to win the election? What are your thoughts?
