After three months as the interim CEO for Jay Z‘s star-studded streaming service, Tidal, Peter Tonstad has been relieved from his duties. For those unfamiliar with the term, “interim” is basically another word for temporary. While the rumors circulate that the former CEO caught an L (or “F” in this case), it sounds like Peter was only filling in the position until a permanent candidate was chosen. Here’s what a Tidal official had to say in a statement to the Wall Street Journal.
“We are thankful to Peter for stepping in as interim CEO and wish him the best for the future.”
In the meantime, Tidal executives in New York and Oslo will run day-to-day operations while they continue to search for a new CEO. Despite what the haters say, it sounds like all is well for Tidal.
