When Donald Trump announced his bid for Presidency, he made some pretty derogatory statements toward immigrants from Mexico, and he’s now facing some serious repercussions.
First it was Univision, announcing they will not air the Miss USA competition, and Colombian singer J Balvin also pulled out, as well as co-hosts Roselyn Sanchez and Cristián de la Fuente.
Now NBC has severing all ties with Trump, saying in a statement:
“Due to the recent derogatory statements by Donald Trump regarding immigrants, NBC Universal is ending its business relationship with Mr. Trump.”
The network says ‘Miss USA’ and ‘Miss Universe’ will no longer air on NBC. “The Apprentice” was already canceled on Trump’s end because of his Presidential run, but, they did add:
“Celebrity Apprentice” is a Mark Burnett production and “that relationship will continue.”
So they’ll still be working with Trump in some capacity? Hmm!
