Putting on for Compton as usual, Kendrick Lamar drops another video from his latest album, To Pimp A Butterfly. While it may be too early to call this album a classic, we definitely can say the musical piece is ahead of it’s time.
In the “Alright” video, the black and white visuals keep the viewer locked on what is going on and the many themes present. The pictures of the hills in California, the cars spinning out and leaving skid-marks on the street, money flying out of cars, and King Kendrick flying free around his city.
Kendrick Lamar continues to impress us with his lyrical abilities, so when we get an opportunity to see the visuals that accompany his music, it always gives us an excuse to space out from the real world, and pay attention to the “real world” through another person’s eyes.
Take a look at Lamar’s new music video and tell us what you think.
