A grand jury has finally indicted Charleston AME Church shooter Dylann Roof on nine counts of murder, three counts of attempted murder, and a weapons offense after nearly 3 weeks of the incident.
The shooter entered the church on June 17th and opened fire after spending over an hour at bible study with the victims. Three of the victims survived including a grandmother and child who played dead and another woman who was allegedly told to tell the world what had happened. Roof was arrested on June 18th and charged him with the murder counts. Federal investigators are now trying to process whether or not they can charge him on a hate crime. With all of the evidence he left online and verbally to the survivors, it shouldn’t be a problem.
We will keep you posted. Most importantly, we’ll never forget the Charleston 9.
