When you think of a presidential nominee gaining some fans and working their way up the polls, the last person you would think of, considering their unfiltered comments about Mexicans, is Donald Trump. The ABSOLUTE last person you probably thought of was Chris Christie, but you would be correct about that!
A poll conducted at Suffolk University found that 41% more of people feel that Trump could be a serious presidential candidate running in 2016. Although New Jersey Govenor Christie came in next to last with 3%, fellow Republican chauvinist Trump has managed to land a whopping 17% of supporting votes in a nationwide Republican poll.
“Trump is making daily headlines in advance of the primary season,” said Suffolk University poll director David Paleologos in a statement following the poll results. “This has vaulted him to the top of the pack on the backs of conservative voters.”
Also according to the poll, even if Trump becomes nominated, Clinton would still be ahead by 17 votes. So, if Trump has a chance, who are you voting for?
