This week has been eventful for the rapper. Young Thug as well as Birdman is also named in the indictment of the shooting of Lil Wayne’s tour bus. Young Thug’s manager Jimmy Winfrey was identified as the shooter at the crime. The police raided the rapper’s home and is further investigating on the matter.
WSBTV reporter Mike Petchenik revealed via Twitter last night:
“#YoungThug and #Birdman aren’t charged in the indictment, only named by #CobbCounty prosecutors as working with Jimmy Winfrey. Indictment alleges #YoungThug, #Birdman, #Lilwayne and Jimmy Winfrey are members of the #Bloods street gang. Prosectors cite #YoungThug music video for #HalfTime showing Winfrey with assault rifle, lyrics about #LilWayne as evidence. Indictment alleges Jimmy Winfrey ‘carried out’ #YoungThug’s threat by shooting at #LilWayne’s tour buses in April.”
