The company behind Kim Kardashian’s best-selling mobile game, “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood” announced a new partnership with Nicki Minaj, Tuesday. Glu plans to create a new game using her likeness and her voice in their 2016 mid-year roll out.
Right now, Nicki isn’t the only superstar working with Glu. Britney Spears, Katy Perry and even Kendall and Kylie Jenner are all developing games with the company. An earnings presentation revealed the social power of each of its celebrity partners and had Nicki ranking high.
Last year, Kim Kardashian’s game brought in 74 million, which was 31% of the company’s revenue. Glu believes that Nicki has the same social media stronghold as Kardashian does across Vine, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and other social media outlets. With the Barbz’ high interaction rate with Nik on social media, the sales are expected to be high when the game officially releases.
