On Sunday as Chevy Woods flipped some burgers he decided to let everyone listen in on his newest project 48 Hunnid. The party happened at Community 54, a street wear store in Manhattan. Hip Hop journalist Rob Markman hosted as Chevy Woods smoked on a J and explained every track of his seven song EP.
In the EP Woods begins to speak about his life including his drug dealing days, his grandpa’s death, protecting his family members, and his close friend Chinx’s death. Chevy held a moment of silence for the late rapper during the party.
During Chevy explaining his song “Now That I’m Up” he went on to say:
“You can identify with this. I’m sure you know, you come up and everybody want to f**k with you. This is one of those tracks.”
For the track “All Said And Done,” Dej Loaf helps him out. In the song Chevy speak about serving time behind bars and talking to his boys to keep them in line. As always, Dej holds down the hook adding her touch to complete the song! Speaking on this exact track Chevy went on to say:
“We sent her the track, she sent it back and it had so much emotion on it that I already had my verse done but I went back and re-did them. I had to match the feelings that she gave on there.”
The EP ends with the song “Lookin’ Back,” featuring Wiz Khalifa. In the project there are also features coming from Post Malone and PJ on “Getcha Some” and OG Maco on “Whole Lot.” Make sure to cop it here, and let us know what you think.
