In giving back and striving to make huge difference in the field of science, Nas has teamed up with Google, Microsoft and Hirepurpose in a effort to provide scholarships for women, veterans, African-Americans and Latinos who have been denied equal access to higher education under the vast umbrella of the sciences.

Inside the “Opportunity Fund,” the financial investors listed above are each taking on dynamic action in aiding different demographics as reported by the Observer’s BetaBeat. As the world continues to evolve equal opportunity to education for all people remains a fundamental issue. Nas’s QueenBridge Venture Partners will advocate for African Americans and Latinos, Google for women and Microsoft and Hirepurpose will raise money for veterans.

This comes after the New York educational team, General Assembly has solemnly devoted itself to executing a progressive plan to fix this fundamental issue and further diversify the platform of science and technology. And it doesn’t go unnoticed that Nas has also committed himself to the great cause of enabling change and evolution in this area as well. In 2013 the living Hip Hop legend contributed to the revival of Mass Appeal’s quarterly publication with a concealed six figure investment as well teaming up with White Owl Capital Partners and the creative firm Decon in the relevance of technology today.

Dope stuff, Nas.
