Turn-up hit after hit, Future has lit up the whole summer with DS2 and help from his Freebandz hittas like Dj Esco. However in his new single he switches up the style in showing us a new side and glimpse into the layers of Future Hendricks in the new video for “Blood On The Money.”

Giving us a darker more somber side we can definitely feel the seriousness behind the lyrics paired with the visuals. Future paints this picture in the midst of a funeral. He is seen rapping the lyrics to the song between a crowd where everyone is dressed in all black while he takes fans on a flash back to a murder scene. He talks about the realness of his adversities and struggles battling between good and evil. From hanging with all the killers and robbers to acknowledging that the devil is real, wanting to give up Easter Pink and her putting him out when it was ugly he hits on some insane low notes. This is a huge shift from songs like, “Where Ya At” and “Real Sisters.”

It’s apparent that “Blood On That Money” symbolizes something much deeper for the Atlanta rapper and we aren’t mad at him for spittin about his truth that goes beyond the surface.
