New York Giants quarterback, Eli Manning has signed a contract extension worth $84 million over four years placing his average salary per year at the leagues third highest paid quarterback. The contract includes $65 million in guaranteed money and a no-trade clause. My goodness, that’s a lot of money!
Although Manning has ranked 15th in the NFL in passer rating in 2014, the extension is more for the Giants stability. Manning has also been a very reliable player and keeps his team’s momentum. He’s started 11 seasons straight and deals well under pressure when it comes to media, another reason why the Giants wanted to extend his contract.
Eli Manning’s bank account will be on fleek for the next four years and hopefully so will the Giants record! Best of luck to them this season!
