It has been almost 2 years since the unbelievable death of actor Paul Walker and on what would be his 42nd birthday, his daughter, Meadow Walker, launched a new foundation honoring her father. Meadow announced the “Paul Walker Foundation” via Instagram on Saturday (Sept. 12). According to the website, the foundation will seek to “empower future generations by providing grants and scholarships opportunities and spontaneous acts of goodwill”. The foundation’s mission statement is “Do Good”. The foundation has partnered with the Monterey Bay Aquarium to help achieve this mission.

The caption of the Instagram posts reads:

“Reflecting on my father, I found myself reflecting on his passions. His passion for the ocean, his passion for rescuing animals, his passion for helping people and his passion for spontaneous goodwill. I wanted to start his foundation because I want to share that piece of him with others. I am tremendously proud to be launching the #PaulWalkerFoundation (@paulwalkerfdn) on his birthday. I cant think of a better way to celebrate my father. #DoGood – @meadowwalker #regram #PaulWalkerFoundation

Walker died in a car crash in 2013 when the Porsche that he was a passanger in spun outhit a pole and burst into flames. Walkers death shocked the world and prompted massive amounts of tributes and condolences from fans and people who were close to him including his co-stars, who refer to each other as family, Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson and Chris “Ludacris” Bridges”. Since the reveal of the Paul Walker Foundation two days ago, the Instagram page has amassed 75.5k followers.
