All the Toni Braxton fans of the world can rejoice because the 7 time Grammy award winning singer will forever be immortalized in a new Lifetime biopic entitled, Unbreak My Heart. The film is named after Braxton’s 1996 smash hit and her memoir which was published in 2014. Lifetime has already produced biopics about Aaliyah and Whitney Houston which debuted on Lifetime all within the last year. Braxton will executive produce alongside Craig Baumgarten, Erik Kritzer and Marcus Grant while Vondie Curtis Hall is signed on to direct with Susan McMartin writing the script.
According to Variety, the film will depict Braxton’s battle with lupus, financial troubles, her divorce, managing her son’s autism as well as family struggles. The film is set to be released later this year.
