Drake and Future dropped less than 24 hours ago and projections for what the album is supposed to sell are already in the air. The mixtape, which sounds more like an album than anything is projected to move somewhere around 500,000 copies. Anyone who follows rap nowadays knows that isn’t an easy feat to pull off even if you are Future and Drake.
If the project does sell 500,000 it will be the second time Drake has accomplished the feat in a year & it would double what Future’s “DS2” did in its first week. It will also solidify Future’s musical run this year, which has included the projects “Beast Mode,” “56 Nights,” “DS2,” and now “What A Time To Be Alive.”
As of right now the project is expected to sell more than Jay-Z & Kanye West’s “Watch The Throne,” which dropped back in 2011. “Watch The Throne” was the last time two artists of such big status collaborated on a project. Looks like Future and Drake have a hit on their hands. Stay tuned with us for more details on the album sales.
