Rick Ross has been named in a lawsuit by a woman claiming that she was raped and drugged by members of his entourage during Grammy weekend. According to TMZ, the woman says she met up with Ross and members of his entourage at the W Hotel in Los Angeles and eventually had a drink before she started to feel dizzy and passed out in his van. The report indicates that she woke up two hours later in the back of the van before leaving with Ross’ associate and agent Thaddeus “Black” James, where she passed out again, and woke up with her clothes off the next morning.
The woman is suing “Black” directly, but Ross is named in the lawsuit because she thinks Ross should have been supervising Black that night.
Ross has released a statement to TMZ regarding the situation saying he wasn’t involved, but admitting he has worked with James often. Read that below.
“It has been brought to my attention that serious allegations have been made against an independent contractor, who’s services I use often. And while I am not directly involved or implicated, as a man and a father, I take this very seriously. I don’t believe any woman’s safety should be compromised and she should never be forced to do anything outside of her will, regardless of the circumstances.” Ross adds, “While I personally have no knowledge of the specifics surrounding these allegations, it is my hope that this is rectified quickly and with sensitivity.”
Hopefully, the recently engaged Ross will be able to keep his name free of this.
