Chris Brown recently planned tour stops in Australia and New Zealand for later this year, but due to his criminal history of domestic violence, his visa was reportedly denied.

Back in 2009 the singer was found guilty and sentenced to five years probation for beating and strangling his then girlfriend, pop star Rihanna.

Chris isn’t quite giving up in his quest to make it New Zealand and Australia though, as he says he can raise awareness about domestic violence in a series of tweets. In the tweets he sheds light on his mistakes and says he can be a better vessel for domestic violence than PSA’s and parents.

The tweets could possibly be apart of Brown’s grounds of appeal against his visa refusal. The Australian government has given the singer 28 days to appeal, as concert tickets went on sale this week.

Chris Brown picked a difficult time to obtain entry into Australia, with the government renewing efforts to stop domestic violence.
