In today’s #WTF news, $10,000 worth of weed apparently fell from the sky in Arizona Tuesday morning.
According to the Guardian, local resident Maya Donnelly awoke early this morning to discover that a mysterious object had crashed through her carport and crushed her dog’s kennel. Upon further inspection, Donnelly found a bulky bundle wrapped in black plastic. Inside was roughly 25 pounds of marijuana – a package that authorities say was worth $10,000.
“It’s all right on top of our dog’s house,” Donnelly said. “It just made a perfectly round hole through our carport.”
Initially, Donnelly assumed the crash was simply thunder which is typical of monsoon storms in her area. However, the mother of three was in for a quite surprise. Local officials say the package was likely dropped by a drug smuggler flying overhead.
“Someone definitely made a mistake, and who knows what the outcome of that mistake might be for them,” Police Chief Derek Arnson said.
Whoever’s responsible is definitely in hot water.
