A night of jazz, classical and funk infused with all things Kendrick Lamar sounds like a lover of all music’s dream come true.
On Oct. 20 at 8pm this dream will become reality when King Kunta along with the National Symphony conducted by esteemed Principle Pops Conductor, Steven Reineke grace the stage of the Kennedy Center to perform songs from his sophomore album, To Pimp a Butterfly. The Grammy winning rapper will not only infuse the different genre’s of music but he will also be bringing along his message of social commentary to address today’s social injustices. This glorious occasion is only befitting for the iconic rapper and recipient of the state of California’s Generational Icon Award.
The tickets for this exceptional one night only event will start at $35. Kennedy Center Members have the early bird advantage and are able to get tickets beginning Sept. 29 at 10 a.m while the rest of Welvin Da Great’s fan-base get access to purchase on Sept. 30.
