Ahmed Mohamed, the Muslim teen who was accused of making a bomb after bringing a homemade clock to his high school in Texas, got to visit the White House. This all went down on Monday night after being invited by President Barack Obama. While Ahmed was there, he got to participate in an “Astronomy Night”. On this night, students alike get to stargaze on the White House’s South Lawn and got to meet the infamous Bill Nye. Obama went on to say:

We need to inspire more young people to ask about the stars. We have to watch for and cultivate and encourage those glimmers of curiosity and possibility, not suppress them, not squelch them. Not only are the young people’s futures at stake, but our own is at stake.”

Ahmed also reportedly got a personal tour of the laboratories over at the National Institute of Standards and Technology shortly before the astronomical event. Check it out:
