It takes a pretty special person to get an entire day dedicated to them and Lupta Nyong’o will now be one of those special people.
The Academy-Award winner has earned a ton of accolades and netted just as many endorsements to become a star in Hollywood, but on October 20 she was able to achieve a feat that is up there with her biggest accomplishments.
Congressman Charles Rangel formally announced October 20 is now “Lupta Nyong’o Day” in Harlem. Activist Micheala Angela provided the honor to the actress.
