The Weeknd will skip jail time for punching a Las Vegas cop as long as he can stay out of trouble.
Back in January, The Weeknd was arrested in Las Vegas after a fight allegedly involving Weeknd started inside the Cromwell Hotel, when the police arrived, the fight was still raging. Allegedly cops attempted to break up the fight, and one of them pulled the singer into an elevator during the scuffle. That’s when Weeknd allegedly punched him in the head.
The Canadian singer pled “no contest” in a Las Vegas court on Wednesday and was ordered to pay $1,000 to an injured cop fund, complete anger management and an alcohol evaluation. He’ll also have to accomplish 50 hours of community service for a non-profit group in his home country Canada.
if he stays out of trouble and complete all of the requirements, the case will be dismissed.
