For the first time in months, a national poll shows us that Ben Carson is now leading the Republican 2016 primary race, instead of Donald Trump.
As of now, 26% have given their support to Carson, while Trump has 22% percent according to CBS News/New York Times. This marks the first time since Donald Trump dominant rise that took place over the summer, that he isn’t holding down the top spot.
The numbers also represent a reversal from the last CBS/New York Times poll, which was taken over a month ago, and had the race 27%-23% in the favor of Trump.
