NYU Tish offers an amazing learning experience, Future Music Mogul, a 12-week workshop where high school students will be given the opportunity to study numerous aspects of the music business during the spring. The program is free and only for freshmen sophomores, and juniors. The workshop will be located at The Clive Davis Institute’s facilities from February to May. Future Music Mogul is geared towards students from a low socio-economic background in the New York tri-state area.
The program will focus on the creative side of the industry such as writing and recording music. Also the program will shed light on the business side of music such as management and distribution. Students will be educated on music entrepreneurship, the trend of the music industry, and the pressing issues facing the music business. The deadline to apply for the workshop is Nov.15.
