New Orleans Pelicans waived veteran point guard Nate Robinson. Robinson is being released just two days after the Pelicans played against the Golden State Warriors. During the season opener Robinson played a total of 23 minutes in 2 games with 4 assists but failed to score any points. Robinson was set to start due to teammate Jrue Holiday’s ankle injury.
The Pelicans now have a roster of 14 and due to the amount of injured players on the team general manager Dell Dumps might be forced to find another point guard. Earlier this month the Pelicans offered Robison a one year non-guaranteed contract. The 5’9 point guard addition to the team seemed promising during the preseason game against the Orlando Magic where Robinson scored a total of 18 points.
