Many have taken sides in the racial debate on who was right and who was wrong in the case of the situation that occured at Spring Valley High School recently. On the Fox news show “Face Off” political consultant Angela Box and activist Quannel X debated on the issue on the weekly segment.

Box agreed that the officer did use excessive force, but doesn’t think he should have been fired for “doing his job.” Box being a former teacher, claimed that the 16-year olds refusal to put away her phone and further refusal to leave the classroom caused a disturbance and prevented others from getting their education.

“I think it’s high time we start addressing the root cause of this,” Box says. “The disrespecting of teachers, this Black Lives Matter movement, this perpetual chip on your shoulder that’s against everybody not like yourself.

Quannel X is a regular on the show and the leader of the new Black Panther Party in Texas, agreed with Box saying that a disruptive student isn’t supported in a classrom setting, but the manner in which she was removed was unacceptable.

“What I do have a problem with is men should never deal and handle a woman the way the cop handled that little girl.”
