Rae Sremmurd is the latest set of rappers to announce their own festival, following in the footsteps of the likes of Drake, Lil Wayne, Tyler The Creator and more. With the two making the high energy tracks that they do, this announcement comes as no surprise. The festival will take place between December 18 and December 20 in their hometown of Tupelo, Mississippi.
The festival will start off with a basketball game on Friday night, followed by a Saturday night of music coming from the likes of DeJ Loaf, Yo Gotti, K Camp, Two-9, Rae Sremmurd (of course) and more. On Sunday, the duo will hold a community BBQ with a food and toy drive.
Their efforts will not go unnoticed as the two will receive the key to the city on Saturday during the concert. “We’re trying to bring good vibes back to our hometown and to bring positivity through the music that’s brought us from Tupelo, Mississippi, to all across the world,” Slim Jxmmi told Billboard.
