The iconic hip-hop group A Tribe Called Quest is gearing up to re-release their debut album, People’s Instinctive Travels And The Paths Of Rhythm. To kick things off, the group announced that they will be proforming on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Friday (Nov. 13).
All 14 tracks on the album have been remastered by Bob Power and also includes remixes by some of today’s hottest artists. Pharrell puts his twist on “Bonita Applebum” while Cee-Lo Green joins them on “Footprints” and J.Cole remixed their hit “Can I Kick It?”
People’s Instictive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm was originally released in April of 1990. The album went gold and recieved high praises from fans and critics. The album even on one of The Sources coveted five mics.
When asked about the album, Q-Tip released the following statement, “I had this album in my head for years before I did it. Looking at it overall, to see the thoughts of a 16 year old gain any kind of acknowledgement, makes me feel like I have arrived…But to see it in its incarnation, I am humbled.”
