This has been a particularly lit year in music as one prolific project after another seems to surface. We’ve seen prominent releases from the likes of Nipsey Hussle, Big Sean, Ty Dolla $ign, Drake, Kendrick Lamar and we don’t even have to mention the rampage Future has been on. As the year is closing out one would think that these projects would slow down but it’s done the opposite: it’s getting better. As of now there are a number of projects dropping on Thanksgiving, and the list keeps growing by the day. If you need a guide to what you should be looking for on Thanksgiving don’t look any further.  BlameEbro has you covered.

5. The Kanan Tape by: 50 Cent

50 Cent has been teasing The Kanan Tape for a while, and now it seems as if it will finally see the light of day. He’s dropped two hard tracks from it already in the form of “9 Shots” and “Body Bags.” The closest we got to some music outside of those 2 tracks was a studio session he previewed on Periscope a month or so back. He’s also vowed to make Rick Ross pay for the comments he made about his son earlier this month so it wouldn’t be surprising to hear a few shots aimed at the MMG boss. Guess we’ll have to listen to see.

4. Summertime Shootout by: Fabolous

Since giving us the stellar Friday Night Freestyle Mixtape, Fab has been rather quiet in the rap world. We have no idea where Loso’s Way 2: Rise To Power is but Fab has us covered for the holiday season. The first go round will be on Thanksgiving when he will give us Summertime Shootout in the form of a mixtape for free. This is usually the time of year Fabolous blesses us with a Soul Tape so everyone’s excited to see what the New York native has in store. Stay tuned for the release of the tape and The Young OG Project 2 set to drop on Christmas.

3. No Ceilings 2 by: Lil Wayne

This release shocked everyone when Wayne brought it to our attention. No Ceilings is probably the last time we heard prime Wayne, and now that he’s revisiting it everyone’s expectations are through the roof. Some are on the fence on whether he’ll ruin the No Ceilings legacy and some are excited to possibly hear the old Wayne. He’s performed a remix to “Back To Back” that sounded flame but only time will tell if he’ll be able to match the intensity of his first No Ceilings. What do you think? With Carter 5 in limbo, hopefully this will hold everyone over until that finally sees some type of release date and or justice at this point.

2. But Yu Cain’t Use My Phone by: Erykah Badu

This is the wildcard on the list. A tape from the great Erykah Badu. What started off as just a cover to Drake’s “Hotline Bling” turned into a whole tape centered around the use of a phone. Since the “Hotline Bling” cover Badu has released one track, “Phone Down” that was super dope and gave us a taste of what the tape could possibly sound like.

“I’m in love with this mixtape, it feels good. I think it’s a whole new frequency for the planet and I just wanted to do it because it’s inspiring me to write my new album—it’s kind of like the buffer in between. I would like to describe it as a creative process and I got some really good surprises for you guys” she told Fader.

We haven’t heard a full Badu project in a while, so Thanksgiving will be lit just for hosting this project.

1. Ape Sh*t (?) By: Future

In an act of stealing everyone’s shine Tyga’s BFF Future is ready to give his fans something new on Turkey day. He’s been teasing a number of projects such as Beast Mode 2 and Monster 2 but he’s finally dropping the tape he’s been working on with frequent collaborator Mike Will Made It. Mike Will teased the project way back in April and anticipation has heightened for it, as well as people questioning it’s existence. Future let us know a few days ago that the project between him and Mike Will is indeed real and will be coming on Thanksgiving. Whether or not it’s Ape Sh*t is honestly up for debate but all signs point to it. We have no idea what this tape will sound like as we have only got a snippet of the track “Paparazzi,” which was played at the end of a Mike Will, Swae Lee and Future track titled “Drinks On Us.”

Mike Will and Future have come together for some pretty nasty bangers in the forms of “Itchin'”, “Ain’t No Way Around It,” “Sh*t!,” “Move That Dope,” and even “Neva End,” which featured Kelly Rowland. If “Paparazzi” is any indication of how Ape Sh*t will sound, we’ll be in for a real treat come Thanksgiving.

Are you more excited for Thanksgiving food or all this music dropping? We’re siding with the latter. Stay with us as all this music rolls out!
