We can add the recent attack of a Black Lives Matter protester at his rally to the long list of reasons as to why Donald Trump should never be seriously considered as President of the United States.
According to CNN reporter Jeremy Diamond, a Black Lives Matter protester was assaulted at a Trump rally in Birmingham, Alabama after Trump ordered his supporters to remove the protester from the event. The protester was “shoved, tackled, kicked and punched” by Trump supporters. Security was there trying to help the man to his feet.
In the video, Trump is heard saying “Get him the hell out of here.” as his supporters cheered him own from the crowd. The protester was allegedly screaming “Black Lives Matter” which supporters screamed “All Lives Matter” in response.
According to CNN, Trump Spokesperson Hope Hicks claimed that “The campaign does not condone his behavior”, though Trump clearly feels otherwise. Yesterday (Nov.22) on Fox & Friends, Trump addressed the scuffle saying,
“I don’t know. Rough up? Maybe he should have been roughed up because it was absolutely disgusting what he was doing.”
That sounds like condoning of behavior to us. Maybe Trump and his campaign should call a team meeting to get on one accord.
