RZA announced back in March that Wu Tang Clan would only be making one copy of their album and that album is here. The album is titled Once Upon A Time In Shaolin. Wu Tang will be headed out on a museum tour before putting the one copy of their new cd up for auction.
This means that one can listen to the album except the potential buyer. Sucks to suck right? We know. According to a press release published yesterday (Nov.24), the buyer has been found. A ” private American collector” paid something “in the millions” to own the album.
The press release describes the album as, “a retrospective soundscape that threads 31 songs, skits and stories into a 128 minute long aural screenplay.”
In addition to the album, the buyer will receive a “hand crafted nickel silver box designed by Yahya, a gold lead certificate of authenticity, and a leather bound book containing the albums lyrics and stories behind each song, [and] an addition that had not been previously announced: a pair of customized PMC MB2-XBD speakers worth $55,000 included after consultation with PMC”.
