At a South Carolina rally Trump decided to mock a New York Times reporter Serge Kovaleski, who suffers from arthogryposis, a condition that limits the movement of his joints and weakens the muscles around them. The candidate quoted an article Kovaleski wrote while working for the Washington Post, where the reporter argued Trump’s claims that Muslims in New Jersey celebrated 9/11.Trump made EXTRA hand movements to mock the reporter while talking and said:
“Now the poor guy — you ought to see the guy: ‘Uhh I don’t know what I said. I don’t remember.’ He’s going, ‘I don’t remember. Maybe that’s what I said.’
A Times spokeswoman told the NY Daily News:
“We think it’s outrageous that he would ridicule the appearance of one of our reporters.”
