Chicago- A city that is under unrest as it is, just heard the news of officer Jason Van Dyke has posted the 10 percent needed of his 1.5 million dollar bond and is now free to await trail in the shooting death of Laquan McDonald.
A GoFund me account which was set up in the officer behalf helped raised the funds according to NBC Chicago. Van Dyke who makes $83,616 annually is able to await trail at home now. Van Dyke has been placed on unpaid leave since the shooting occurred and since he has been charged with murder.
Van Dyke is the lone shooter of McDonald, a 17 year old kid who was shot 16 times. Footage of the shooting was said to have been tampered with according to a manager of a near by Burger King.
