Micheal B. Jordan is having the perfect end to his year with the release of Creed. A Rocky spin-off written and directed by Ryan Coogler, the same man who directed Jordan in Fruitvale Station.

Creed continues to dominate the box office and generate an insane amount of buzz. Though plans for a sequel have not been announced, Jordan announced that he is on board for round two.

The film also stars Sylvester Stallone, making his 7th appearance as Rocky and Tessa Thompson. Thanksgiving weekend, the film grossed an estimated $42.6 million in the box office. In the film, Jordan plays Adonis Creed, the son of Apollo Creed, Rocky’s nemesis. Stallone returns as Rocky and mentors Adonis after he moves to Philly to begin boxing full time.

In an interview with the Associated Press, Jordan talks about his willingness to do a sequel, “Especially the way it ends off, it’s pretty cool. I think with sucuss and time and circumstances, it would be exciting to come back and work with Sly [Stallone] and Tessa [Thompson] again.”
