Fans have really been making the most out of Kobe Bryant leaving the NBA.
During the first two road games since he announced he would be retiring– in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. respectively, fans have given him rounds of applause, chanted his name, and shown a ton appreciation for the superstar. Kobe admitted last night he’s been surprised by the reactions to him retiring:
Kobe on intensely appreciative fan reaction so far on the road: "I thought everybody hated me."

One fan pushed it too far on Wednesday night though.
After the Lakers beat the Wizards on Wednesday, a fan ran on the court and tried to touch Kobe. Somehow, the fan managed to actually get pretty close to Kobe as he was talking to Marcin Gortat. The fan didn’t get to stand there long though, as security guards soon hauled him off. Clearly, security needs to be tighter whenever Kobe is in town for the rest of the season.
