Bobby Shmurda can’t catch a break and most likely will remain in jail until his court date scheduled for January. The application to post his $2 million bail has been withdrawn.
It has been reported that a judge shot Shmurda’s bail application down, but court transcripts show that Shmurda’s lawyer Alex Spiro requested that the bail application be retracted. It’s unclear why, because both the lawyers and judge discussed it off the record.
The application was originally thought to be “bulletproof” and for sure would get Shmurda bailed out. After it was presented, it was denied and everyone lost the little bit of hope they originally had for Shmurda getting out.
Shmurda has been in jail up since Dec. 18 on the charges, and is due back in court Jan. 11 for trial.
