G.O.O.D. Music President, Pusha T’s long-awaited album King Push will drop in April. In an interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1 Radio, Pusha T discussed the highly anticipated album and latest projects. The Virginia rapper states that the Hip Hop sound of King Push has not be heard in a while.
“There are things on King Push that have not been heard in 18 years, Real, serious artistic presence, the newness of certain artists that just haven’t been here in about 18 joints.”
Pusha T also discussed his latest project Darkest Before Dawn which will be released on December 18th. The project features a track called “M.P.A.” which stands for Money, P****, and Alcohol. The song is featuring J. Cole and production by Kanye West. The song also features vocals from A$AP Rocky and Kanye West.
“J. Cole flipped the part of this beat, it got so dark, It’s a recurring sample, then when it gets to that part, Cole just goes stupid.”
King Push also mentioned the possibility of another G.O.O.D. Music collaboration in the works.
“I definitely have that on my mood board. I’ve had different conversations with the artists. Me and the rest of the artists on G.O.O.D. are really a phone call away and we’re really dialed into the music aspect of it as well. It’s not a hard process and it’s gonna be cool to collaborate with my peers and then come to ‘Ye as an executive producer and be like, “Look at this fresh a** sh*t we got here.”
