Rapper Vince Staples talks about the falling out between Lil Wayne and Birdman. The California rapper also dishes on other monumental Hip Hop moments in 2015 during an interview with MTV.
“I think that was great, Cause they’ve had a troubled past, a very interesting history. That has less to do with the situation and more to do with Twitter control. Lil Wayne is too old to use Twitter. And when you’re too old to use Twitter, you use it poorly. And that’s kinda what happened there. And, you know, they kissed on ‘Rap City.’ And all love stories come to a sad end. It’s like Titanic. I think we need a Birdman album more than we need a Lil Wayne album right now.”
Also the rapper gives his point of view on the beef between Drake and Meek Mill.
“I don’t care if you don’t write your own verse as long as it is good. It does matter on a personal level, but it’s not life or death.”
In addition he weighed in on the feud between Ghostface Killah and Action Bronson.
“I’m on Ghostface album and Action Bronson is my friend, so I wish that never happened. It puts me in a very awkward situation. But I feel like they should play a game of one-on-one basketball. I’ll do the announcements and we’ll get it cracking.”
