Should Kobe Bryant be a participant for this year’s NBA All-Star team? Should he be on the team just because of the high-caliber of play he’s played at for years? These are the questions surrounding Kobe Bryant and the All-Star game as February approaches.

This season, Kobe Bryant certainly isn’t putting up All-Star numbers to be deserving of a spot, but he will always be one of the best players to ever play the game of basketball.  With this being his farewell season, it wouldn’t be surprise if he was selected to play in the game.  He recently revealed his feelings about going to Toronto to ESPN’s Baxter Holmes.

“I mean it would be great to play in it. If I’m not in it, I’m not going to beat myself up over that either,”  “I’ll support the game no matter what. Support the players no matter what. It would be great, but at the same time I’ve played in a lot of them, so it’s always great to have the younger guys step up and get their opportunities as well,” said Bryant.

He continued:

“I’ve played in quite a few. If I’m fortunate to be there, I’ll be extremely grateful for that. If I’m not, at the same token, I’ll be extremely grateful for the opportunities I’ve had.”
