Baltimore police officer William Porter will be retried on June 13th for his involvement in the death of Freddie Gray. Last week Porter’s case was declared a mistrial after a jury failed to reach a verdict regarding his involvement in Gray’s death. Five other officers face charges and will be tried by themselves on multiple charges within the next three months.
During his trial, Porter continued to claim he acted reasonably and expressed extreme remorse for Gray’s death. The charges against Porter are involuntary manslaughter, second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and misconduct in office.
