Clearly ladies are kings too!

With a ground breaking record like this the crown is definitely earned and not given.

In very classic fashion Associated Press announced Serena Williams as it’s “Female Athlete of The Year,” a title rightfully given after a stellar year. This isn’t her first time being recognized as she was named their numero uno in 2002, 2009 and 2013. Serena humbly took to her Instagram account to show her gratitude.

Her accomplishments in 2015 include winning this year’s Australian Open and French Open despite coming up short in this year’s U.S. Open. Ms. Williams also broke ground with her twenty-first Grand Slam singles title slaying at Wimbledon. She reigns supreme ending her year with a 53-3 record staying at number one in the ranks every single week this year and it doesn’t stop there. Earlier this month Serena was crowned “Sportsperson of The Year” by Sports Illustrated, making her the first solo Black Woman to grace their annual cover, #blackgirlsrock. Sports wasn’t the only avenue she stretched her wings, Serena debuted her HSN, “Signature Statement Collection” at New York’s Fall Fashion Week.

Truly Serena Williams kicked ass in 2015 as she is mighty and incomparable in all that she does.
