Toward the end of the summer of 2010, Kanye West began building buzz for his album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasty (then-titled Good Ass Job) by releasing a new song every Friday from August to December. Some of the songs from that Internet series made MBDTF, while some like “Christmas In Harlem,” “Good Friday,” and “G.O.O.D. Friday” became cult classics among fans and critics alike.
A week after releasing his Nike diss track “Facts,” it seems as if the series is back,at least according to his wife Kim Kardashian-West.
Taking to Twitter late Thursday night/early Friday morning, Kardashian-West tweeted, “Friiiiiiday!!!! New music!!!! #EveryFriday #Swish #RealFriends.” Leading fans to believe that the G.O.O.D. Friday series is back and the next track might be called “Real Friends.”
The last update Kanye gave on his upcoming album SWISH was in a tweet in December where he asked everyone to leave him alone until the album is completed.
Hopefully, this go round will live up to the greatness that was 2010’s G.O.O.D. Fridays.
